All Star 2002Date: Wednesday, January 16, 2002
Location: Bladerunners Ice, Bethel Park, PA
Teams: WPCHA North (Challengers) vs. WPCHA South (Champions)
Winner: WPCHA North
Final Score: North 8 d. South 5
MVP: North, John Pacino (#14, Allegheny College)

The 2001-02 WPCHA All-Star Game & College Expo was a complete success! This year's event was the finest all-star game to date. With over 300 fans in attendance at the Bethel Park BladeRunners, the WPCHA North defeated the WPCHA South 8-5. The evening was highlighted by the special guest appearance by former Pittsburgh Penguin's defenseman Grant Jennings. Jennings was on hand to address the fans and players in attendance as well as drop the first puck. Other local celebrities visiting the all-star game was FOX-53 News Director Alby Oxenreiter who announced the starting lineups and WTAE-TV Sports Anchor Andrew Stockey who "MC'd" the intermission entertainment. Without a doubt this year's event set the standard for the future of the WPCHA. From all of us at the WPCHA, we would like to thank the staff, players, coaches, guests, and families who attended the game and supported this special event.
